Raising Young Children with Hemophilia

There are many trials and tribulations when children are first diagnosed with hemophilia. In this discussion, we’ll go over tips and tricks to navigate early childhood education, 504 plans, and advocating for your family’s care and wellbeing.

Gina Perez-Wiberg was born and raised in Mexico before moving to the US. She has three children, and her two boys were the first generation in her family to be diagnosed with severe hemophilia B. While a language barrier complicated the initial diagnosis, Gina has developed into a strong advocate for her family and will share her insights on advocating for you and your family’s care.
